25.11.2008 - State-of-the-art post press equipment for Kraft-Schlötels

The print plant Kraft-Schlötels located in Wassenberg, Germany relies on quality with regard to finishing products. It therefore decided, once again, for innovative and reliable post press solutions from RIMA-SYSTEM

Since the mid 1970's high-volume runs of flyers and inserts have been printed in one of Europe's most technologically advanced print plants. For a new Lithoman IV 72-pages web press which will be installed in the early summer of 2009, Kraft-Schlötels once more requires reliable, high-speed equipment that meets all the demands on modern finishing systems.

Besides floor conveyors, the installation consists of overhead conveying systems with one central waste ejection system. The post press installation also consists of an RS 840 double rotary trimming line for three-sided trimming, two RS 36 indexing stackers with straight deliveries, directly coupled RS 120 blocking units and strapping machines. An RS 400 palletizing robot with A4 double gripper and two palletizing positions places the compressed and strapped stacks onto the pallet. The high degree of automation ensures the fast, precise and reliable processing of printed products. Ranging from three-sided trimming to stacking and palletizing, the whole finishing process is fully automated and high quality results are guaranteed.

With the decision to go for RIMA-SYSTEM's solutions, Kraft-Schlötels continued a successful cooperation with one of the leading post press suppliers. In 2006, two complete post press lines with two palletizing cells behind a 72-pages web press had already been installed by RIMA-SYSTEM.
